Sport Dog Training Tracker ("the App") is a subscription-based iOS and web app operated by Taylor Kennels LLC for sport dog trainers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely via Firebase Authentication).
You may optionally upload a profile photo. This is stored securely and only visible to you.
Information you enter about your dogs, including name, breed, date of birth, sex, titles, and profile photos.
Records you create including dates, locations, session type, training equipment, behaviors worked, performance ratings, notes, photos, and video links you choose to attach.
If you choose to share information with a Training Director, coach, handler, kennel staff member, or similar user through the App, that person may view the dog and training-session data you select or enable for sharing, including session dates, locations, session details, behaviors, ratings, summaries, notes, and, if enabled, photos and videos. You can revoke this access in the App.
Goals and sub-goals you create, including titles, descriptions, target dates, and completion status.
If you use the location picker when logging a session, the App accesses your device's GPS to place a map pin. Location is only used in that moment to suggest a session address; we do not track your location in the background.
When you use the AI Coach feature, your messages, relevant dog and training data, and the AI's responses are stored so you can review past conversations. To generate responses, your training data and messages are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, PBC (see Third-Party Services below). If you set up training email reports, we store the recipient email addresses and schedule preferences you provide.
If you enable training reminders, we store the reminder preferences you set and your device's push notification token (provided by Firebase Cloud Messaging and the Apple Push Notification service) so we can deliver reminders to your device. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
If you subscribe to K9 Pro in the iOS app, payment is processed by Apple through the App Store, and our subscription provider RevenueCat notifies us of your subscription status. If you subscribe on the web, payment is processed by Stripe, and RevenueCat and/or Stripe notify us of your subscription status. In either case, we never see or store your full card number or payment credentials. We receive and store only: your subscription plan and status (active/past-due/canceled), which platform you subscribed through, transaction or customer identifiers, the date your current billing period ends, and whether your subscription is set to cancel at period end. This information is stored on your user record, so we know what features to enable for you and to maintain purchase records.
We may collect limited information about how you interact with the App, such as feature usage, subscription status changes, device or session information, and technical logs, as needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the App. We do not use this information for advertising or cross-site tracking.
We use your information solely to provide the App's features:
We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with any third party except as described below, including with service providers that process information on our behalf to operate the App and with Training Directors or similar users when you choose to share selected information with them.
We use Firebase for authentication, database hosting, file storage, cloud functions, push-notification infrastructure, and related backend services. Your account, profile, dog, training, subscription-status, notification, and AI-conversation records may be stored or processed on Google’s servers as needed to operate the App. See Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
When you use the AI Coach feature, your chat messages and relevant dog, goal, and training-session data are sent to Anthropic’s API to generate responses. AI responses may be incomplete or inaccurate and should be reviewed by you before relying on them or sharing them. We use SendGrid (an email delivery service operated by Twilio Inc.) to send application emails such as training summaries and account and trial notifications. SendGrid processes recipient email addresses and email content, which may include training session data you choose to include. Some emails may be delivered via Google’s Gmail service as a fallback, and Gmail is used for reply routing. Email content includes session data you have chosen to include. Google’s privacy policy is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
If you choose to subscribe to K9 Pro in the iOS app, Apple processes your payment through the App Store under your Apple ID. We never see or store your full card number or Apple ID payment credentials. Apple's privacy policy is available at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy.
We use RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlements and subscription status, including App Store purchases and related subscription records. RevenueCat may receive purchase receipts or subscription-event information from Apple and/or Stripe and an app user identifier so it can tell us whether your subscription is active. If you subscribe to K9 Pro on the web, Stripe processes your payment and may help manage related billing events. Stripe receives the billing details you enter at checkout (such as your card number, email address, and billing information). We do not see or store your full card number or payment credentials, but we may receive limited subscription, customer, transaction, and invoice status information from Stripe. We keep an encrypted off-site backup copy of our database with Backblaze (B2 Cloud Storage) so your training records can be recovered in a disaster. This backup includes the account and training data described above. It is stored in a private, access-controlled bucket, is never used for any purpose other than restoring data after a failure and is not accessible to anyone other than us. All primary app data is stored in Google Firebase infrastructure with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Access to your data is restricted to your authenticated account, authorized personnel and service providers who need access to operate, secure, support, or maintain the App, and any Training Director or similar user with whom you choose to share selected information.
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The App does not include Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, advertising SDKs, or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not use your data to build advertising profiles.
The web app uses only essential browser storage (such as cookies or local storage) needed to keep you signed in and to operate core features; for example, Firebase Authentication stores a session token in your browser, so you do not have to log in on every visit. This storage is strictly necessary for the App to function and is not used for tracking or advertising.
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen, which deletes your live account and app data — including your dogs, training sessions, goals, AI conversations, and photos —from our live systems, except for limited records we are required or permitted to retain for legal, tax, security, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or billing purposes and residual copies in encrypted backups. You may also request deletion by emailing sportdogtrainingtracker@taylorkennels.com; we will process email deletion requests within 30 days.
We keep encrypted backups so your records can be recovered after an accident or outage. Because of this, residual copies of deleted data may remain in those backups for up to 100 days after deletion, after which they are automatically destroyed. Backup copies are encrypted, access-controlled, and are never used to restore a deleted account or for any purpose other than recovering data after a failure.
You can export your training sessions to a spreadsheet at any time from within the App. To request a copy of the other personal data associated with your account in a reasonably portable format, email us at sportdogtrainingtracker@taylorkennels.com and we will provide it within 30 days, subject to applicable law and verification of your request.
The App is not directed at and may not be used by children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. Users between 13 and 17 may use the App only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian; see our Terms of Service. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA”), gives you certain rights regarding your personal information:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. User-directed sharing with a Training Director or similar user occurs only when you choose to enable that feature and is not a sale or sharing for behavioral advertising. We also do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require a right to limit under the CCPA. The categories of personal information we collect may include identifiers (such as name, email address, user ID, and device or subscription identifiers), account credentials, customer records and commercial information (such as subscription status and transaction identifiers), internet or electronic network activity information (such as app interactions needed to provide the service), geolocation information you choose to provide when logging a session, user-generated content (such as dog profiles, training notes, photos, video links, goals, AI conversations, email-report content, and Training Director sharing content), and inferences generated to personalize AI coaching within the App. Our purposes for using this information and the service providers or other parties with whom we disclose it are described in the "Information We Collect," "How We Use Your Information," and "Third-Party Services" sections above.
To exercise any of these rights, please email sportdogtrainingtracker@taylorkennels.com. We will verify your request using the email address associated with your account and respond within the timeframes required by law. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
We may update this policy from time to time. For material changes to how we collect, use, disclose, or share your information, we will provide active notice — such as an email to the address associated with your account or a notice within the App — before the changes take effect. For minor updates, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
